Bit of a special Turntable Tuesday today. About a year ago, my son and I saw The Black Keys at Red Rocks—touring on the back of this album, Dropout Boogie. It was special. I’ll never forget that show.

Fast forward to last week, when I ordered this pink swirl vinyl of Dropout Boogie. I couldn’t resist once I knew it existed. It’s pretty and heavy. Today is its first spin! Sounds great so far.

I forgot to do Turntable Tuesday so we’re going with Vinyl Vriday.

I was a big REM fan as a kid, but somehow forgot about them by like 1995. This strikes me as their most famous album, but Out of Time is the one that really stuck with me. I can still remember dad explaining the satire of Shiny Happy People to me. I’m still working through my dad’s collection, but hopefully that one is hiding in here somewhere.

It’s #TurntableTuesday! Yeah it’s totally a thing.

I moved my desk, record collection, turntable, speakers, etc into a different room recently. I decided it needed a classic album to break it in today.

Damn the Torpedoes by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is so, so good. Great start to the day!

If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.
A choice was made in the branding of this drink in 2023.
On a greenway in the middle of Indianapolis today, I got to see a wild Honda CR-V, confused outside of its typical environment by all of the tiny, vulnerable pedestrians and cyclists.
Haven't 100-percent-ed it yet, but getting one of each Python concept feels pretty good. Some of the class definition stuff tripped me up compared to Ruby.
Well, this does not bode well for my productivity today.
I have no skills in this industry, but if they’d be willing to train me and provide the occasional beer, I’m pretty tempted.
I dislike the tradition of 40th birthday parties having black balloons, but kudos to my friend for choosing a brewery as the venue.
