@andi1984 Yeah, it’s an amazing and vast field and especially interesting to me for tertiary (spread of EBV and other pathogens, along with community physical/mental health) reasons.

When writing, write one sentence per line. Not for publishing, but for revision.
I did this for my last paper, and it was a game changer. Putting every sentence on one line allowed me to remove a lot of fluff and to streamline the reading process a lot. I highly recommend trying this out.
And, yes, leave places that restrict you to 280 or 500 characters for your writing. If you respect your audience, you’ll be more verbose than that.

Weil ich gefragt wurde: nein, ich werde meinen Account auf mastodon.bayern nicht löschen. medic.cafe ist eine Instanz zu einem Thema, das mir sehr am Herzen liegt, und ich werde dort, schon aus Gründen der QA, viel Zeit verbringen. Aber mastodon.bayern ist irgendwo immer noch mein Baby und ich mag es, meine Kinder großwerden zu sehen.
Zum Thema “sehr am Herzen” und warum ich denke, dass diese Instanz notwendig war, etwas vom anderen Stern (follow @mikka for more or don’t and wait for me to boost it :P)
Ich arbeite gerade an was Neuem, vielleicht Netten: medic.cafe, eine Mastodon Instanz (und mehr, siehe unten) für Fachpersonal in der Medizin und umliegenden Fächern (Biomedizin, Bioinformatik, etc.)
Wenn ich noch etwas Server Power dazubekomme, dann setze ich auch einen Peertube (wie YouTube) und Pixelfed (Flickr/Instagram) auf, sowie (da freue ich mich schon drauf) Bookwyrm, Goodreads im Fediverse.
Zur Zeit warte ich noch auf Amazon's Aufhebung der eMail Restriktionen, damit auch eMails versandt werden können, und am Server selbst, aber wer das Abenteuer liebt (und zur Berufsgruppe gehört), signups sind möglich.
Oh, und Ehrenamtler, EH Trainer, oder Feuerwehr sind natürlich auch wilkommen :) Muss kein Hauptjob sein.
@chiasma @jens Naja, gehen wir mal davon aus, dass die Twitter-Entzürnung nicht in Richtung "Musk sperrt Drosten" sondern "Musk lässt Trump wieder rein" geht, dann weniger, denke ich, oder?
Ich bin mir fast sicher dass wenn Musk Policies ändert, sich diese in weniger Bans auswirken. Für mich macht das wenig Unterschied, ich sehe den Mist nicht, weil ich filtere. Und ich denke, dass das die Zukunft (hier und bei den Vögeln) sein wird. Weniger Admin, mehr Brain. But who knows :)
