Anyone else seeing Substack subscriptions coming in on addresses you didn't sign up? Not sure which leak this pulled from but someone or something has now hit 3 different domains for addresses I know have been leaked. #spam_phishing #substack
Seeing a lot of ads and posts for AI and it's ilk describing it as 'magical' and the thing that keeps coming to mind is the fact that the moment someone invokes Clarke's third law "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." is simply stating they no longer know how it works.
3 reject notices today two automated "We went with someone that closely algins to our needs." One that while it was probably a mail merge, template at least felt written.

What good, after getting the job is a home lab? Research, hands on proving things to yourself, and perhaps most of all - getting answers, especially when the question is a bit outside what your normally doing.

Just a friendly reminder that the cybersecurity community/family is small compared to the actual number of people in cybersecurity. The majority will not go to conferences, or see your posts. The go about their day just like any other office type worker. This does not make them bad at what they do, it just means that we are different. That difference is something we need to use to help more people that want to be in our field, get into it. Even if it is just a welcome, small talk and pointing in the right directions. Always try to support others, even if you weren't when you broke in. Be that which you needed/wanted.
