I got into 3D Printing last year, and have been having a lot of fun watching the hobby grow in its practical utility.

Printables.com just opened a new section of their site to serve as a home for brands (like Noctua) to share official free models for things such as:

* Replacement parts
* Adapters
* Accessories
* Modifications
* Decorative models

I hate it when things break, and love it when I can fix something. I hope this practice becomes common.

I completely missed the Carmack news. I will miss him being at Meta. He was afforded an extremely unusual license of public candor that I'm not sure we'll see again from a company like that... which he continued to exercise even on his way out the door.
