Is there any research looking at what the lack of any kind of regular eye contact does to remote teams? Today I realised that I've never made eye contact with like 70% of the team i work in. Surely that does something weird?

in large companies, text generation: code, contracts, documentation, fsm, specs, etc; these aren't bottlenecks. Decsion making and consensus building, internally and externally, are the bottlenecks. You could drop the time it takes to generate text to *zero* and productivity in large orgs wouldn't change.
