The marketing department has spoken. (I didn't even make a pitch)

Rebels, Robbers, and Radicals: The Story of the Bill of Rights

To be published by Abrams Books for Young Readers in spring 2025.

Adding: I could veto it, but you know what? I like it!

@Teri_Kanefield Hi Teri - stories grab people, including kids. Handbooks don’t.

. . . and it helps pundits and others who like being popular on social media.

Whenever a half dozen people ask me the same question, I can always google and find the question originated with a rage peddler.

(See the story I posted about U.S. v. Gamble. It's part 4 of the series on the blog.)

I still plan to write posts, but I think my time is better spent helping people get out of the echo chamber and away from rage peddlars.

Right?

@Teri_Kanefield Teri, I agree with you 100%. Your greatest gift to us is your awesome ability to explain and put in context the myriad indictments, lawsuits, filings, appeals, decisions, etc. we’ve seen over the last few years. Thank you for helping us understand this legal tidal wave! You shouldn’t have to be an anger management therapist on top of all that. Protect your sanity, write more books and, most of all, remember to have fun with it.
@dbc3 @Teri_Kanefield Minor correction: MLK and RFK assassinations were in 1968.
@Teri_Kanefield It shows as Meadows now.
@Teri_Kanefield I think you mean Meadows…Teri, get some sleep!
@Teri_Kanefield - the book you’re writing is so important for young readers, as there’s very little, if any, civics taught today. ( BTW, it’s Saturday 😉 )
Nikki Haley campaigning against "a President Harris" is the new Republican racism.

Via @KlasfeldReports:

Interesting moment from earlier in the day:

Echoing the state judge who presided over Trump's arraignment, the federal judge presiding over #EJeanCarroll v. #Trump warned the parties to refrain from making statements that would incite violence or civil unrest.

There are precisely two cases I've covered in more than a decade in which I can recall the judge giving such a warning, both with case captions ending in "vs. Trump." #legal
