I am glad to have found a ham friendly server to get started on.

As for me. I am active on analog, #DMR, and #P25. A member of the PAPA System (#papasys) in #SoCal so I am on their systems most. I also do some HF work.

I am excited about the #HOIP and #M17 projects. I also do a little photography and travel.

FOR AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS

The FCC now requires FRN contact information to be updated withing 10 business days of the change. So, if you move, you need to update both CORES and License Manager Systems (LMS) within 10 days of the change.

The ARRL has an article with links: http://arrl.org/news/fcc-requires-that-frn-contact-information-be-updated-within-ten-days-of-a-change

Pacificon 2025

I attended Pacificon this year. My primary role was in the MMDVM booth answering questions about the MMDVM Project. I also learned about some interesting products and projects. This is the goal of …

@TinyGo I've seen a couple of posts about multi-core support on the RP2040.

I am new to Go but I am interested in learning. Is there some sample code I can look at to see how you direct code to run on core0 vs core1?

Also, how can the two cores hand off data?

For example, I would like to capture audio on one core and send on on the other core. I assume I would need a queue of some kind, but I don't know how to make the queue thread safe.

Thanks in advance

Do you run a digital voice reflector? Make sure you have registered it on DVREF.com.

On May 5 Pi-Star and WPSD are changing. Instead of using static files to maintain a list of hosts for P25 and NXDN, they will get their host lists from DVREF.

YSF will follow on June 1.

I have jury duty today. They have nice workstations, makes it a little better.

2025 Dream Project

This year, I aim to live differently by pursuing my desires and stepping out of my comfort zone. Social media will play a role, but my focus is on action and self-awareness. As a maker, amateur radio operator, computer enthusiast, and photographer, my channel will be full of surprises. Subscribe or follow, and let's discover together.

WPSD Bookworm for Raspberry Pi Released - W0CHP.radio

Today, I’ve released the long-awaited WPSD “Bookworm”-based disk image for the Raspberry Pi (“RPi”) platforms. This is the (only) WPSD disk image that supports the newer Raspberry Pi Model 5 platform1. Note that this new WPSD RPi Bookworm disk image is universal; so it will support other Raspberry Pi Platforms, not only the Raspberry Pi 5. (We will release Bookworm-based WPSD disk images for all the other architectures/platforms, of which we provide existing “Bullseye”-based disk images, in the near future.) NOTE: There are some major differences between this new Bookworm-based WPSD disk image/operating system, and the popular/existing “Bullseye”-based WPSD disk image(s); so please read the rest of this document to learn how to properly install the WPSD Bookworm software…
