I'm loving the new e-ink displays appearing across Stockholm at the public transport stops.

An email I received left me speechless. Obviously, they don't respect my creative choices. I will not 'fix' this panel under any circumstances.

Just been sent this by a friend. What was so dangerous? Our exchange included fragments of code because, guess what, our emails were about code πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

That Gmail can't distinguish between email containing embedded code (e.g., JS embedded in HTML tags of an email) versus email whose displayable content happens to be code suggests they lack appropriate test cases.

My guess is this 'security feature' was casually thrown together with an LLM rather than by people who knew what they were doing.

What got me hooked was the blog post that Mitchell wrote about Grapheme Clusters. Using a terminal written by someone with a deep understanding of fonts and different writing scripts is a huge bonus to me. I have always cared about the aesthetics of the interface

Starting the new year with a new πŸ“Ί terminal emulator on Mac. I used iTerm for a long time and completely by chance bumped into πŸ‘» https://ghostty.org/. It's written in zig by @mitchellh has just been released and I'm ❀️ loving it. It's fast, os-native and feature-rich with sane defaults.

For the past three months I have tried to take a peek at the future of AI-fuelled software development.

The result? A mix of powerful insights, frustrating hiccups, and plenty of learning opportunities.

I'm thinking πŸ€”, what will the election* results signal to people about leadership?

Makes me even more motivated πŸ’ͺ🏻 to challenge and change the idea of "strong, decisive and controlling" leaders being most valuable and most impactful. And the idea that leaders have to be men.πŸ˜”

The increase in AI narratives in many apps feels like a complete gimmick that adds no value. I don't need a native around numbers that I can otherwise easily interpret like my distance on Strava or weather forecast. Let's not burn more energy for it.
