Ugh, drank too much #coffee yesterday (I think, since that was the only thing I haven't done in awhile) and I was staring at the ceiling for an hour before falling asleep.

Ugh, drank too much #coffee yesterday (I think, since that was the only thing I haven't done in awhile) and I was staring at the ceiling for an hour before falling asleep.
So sleepy right now...
I was trying to drop-off a package today and discovered that the service point was closed for business permanently. Heck, the entire thing was torn down and replaced with an eating area for the McD's operating beside.
I understand they partner with different convenience store franchisees and updates trickle down slowly. But uh, this is mighty inconvenient!
The mobile website also doesn't work at all so I ended up going to 3 other stores around the area before the last one accepted it.
I went out for lunch with my aunt yesterday at this (now longer) new Thai restaurant that opened in Gurney Plaza.
For drinks I ordered the Thai Milk Tea since I really enjoy it even though I should cut down on my sugar intake.
She tried to order the coconut drink but it was not available so she ended up ordering the same thing.
Needless to say, we both felt uncomfortably bloated after that.
She just called to check if I spent time in the washroom when I returned home 😂
I was completely ok!
Just returned from the optometrist. Had to get a new pair of glasses because yes, I'm now long-sighted.
Except that this was to be my first multi-focal glasses ... and holy cow, it cost a pretty penny. Sure feels like lately, all I do is bleed money.
Anyway, when I mentioned to the optometrist my budget, he laughed 😐 My power is already so high (and it went up) coupled with presbyopia now, even without the frame, my budget was apparently too short-sighted. Get the bad pun?
On the 50m walk from the store to my car, I slipped on the sidewalk thanks to the rain that had just fallen.
The only thought that flashed through my mind at that moment was "I mustn't get hurt!".
In the end, my left knee was scraped and bleeding. The only respite was remembering that I'm officially off blood thinners as of last week.
It never fails that my left knee always takes the hit. It's like my brain automatically sacrifices it because I cannot recall ever skinning my right knee.
I went to mail a laptop by courier to the US and was told that they had to open it up, turn it on, get "MSDS papers" for the lithium battery or they cannot accept it because the US customs will reject it otherwise.
A lot to process while I stood there with the package that I spent 40 minutes packing yesterday to make it secure for the long trip.
Then they said that IF the US recipient was the one to generated the airbill, then I could just stick it on and it will be acceptable.
Huh?! 😡
3 rounds around the building compound today. Still taking it slow so that I don't overdo things.
My left feet (the problem one) started hurting in a new way at the beginning but it slowly eased later on. These days every discomfort I feel is amplified in my brain as I dissect and question each one to determine if it warrants attention or not.
It's quite miserable when your body no longer works the way you remember it used to.
Today's the first time since recovery that I went downstairs to take a walk after dinner.
After the first round (about 0.5km), I started to feel short of breath and my knees mushy. I was appalled because I used to do about 5 rounds way "back then".
I even considered if I should gone for physiotherapy. But anyway, I pushed on to a second round and oddly enough, it seems that after that hump, things eased.
I could have gone another round but I didn't want to push too much for a first day.
I had a #pink #fountainpen listed on a #Discord server of a local community for sale. Someone expressed an interest in it but questioned if it is #pink because it looked #orange in the photo.
So I offered to take a new #photo in better lighting together with other #pink #fountainpens in my collection for comparison, and now I'm questioning if it looks more #orange than #pink.
The colour as provided in the official product description is "coral pink".
What do you think?
