The strangest thing happened.
I just opened a bag I have stored in my attic, and while it looks like my stuff from the outside, it’s NOT MINE!
Some stickers inside have a #36c3 Design, dating the bag to 2019.
There are valuable and personal items in there. So far the Person might be called Maya and all stickers and notes are English, French and Swedish. The person must have been in Stuttgart before Congress.
Please help me #FindMaya!

我依然覺得，任何比較長的心得感想，放在 blog 再附上 rss，會是保鮮期比較長的方法。的確透過 social network 能夠有更好的傳播，在 mastodon 上面掛 bot 應該可以解決這個問題。

Social Network 都發展要十多年了，每次搜尋比較深度的資料，最後都是回到論壇、部落格、新聞網站，全都是 web1.0 的東西

我在 FB 看過無數優質好文，但在 FB 外幾乎都搜尋不到，在我看來，過去十年那些持續湧入 Social Network 並且做出豐富產出的讀書人，實際上並沒有什麼累積，好可惜。

法國藝術家 Paolo Cirio 在 #rC3 上談論他怎麼從公開資料來源中搜集了 1000 多張有警察的照片，然後放到他設立的 crowd sourcing 網站，最後辨識出 4000 個警察的故事。

他的用意是突顯在人臉辨識這個科技的使用中，權力的不平衡非常地大。即使他沒有犯罪，警察也非常不爽。

這個 talk 沒有錄影，但他的公開網站上有詳細的說明，以及 press kit (供媒體用的素材) 可以下載。

一個網站要正常運作，要避免讓哪些人不開心呢（以 g0v.social 為例）：

* g0v.social domain name 註冊商要開心（美商，美國法規）
* domain name 所有者要開心（我  ）
* 擁有 admin 權限的人要開心（我  ）
* 本站的圖片伺服器（AWS S3）要開心（美商，美國法規）
* 本站的伺服器供應商要開心（https://www.vultr.com/ ，美商，註冊在 NJ，受美國法規監督）
* 本站所在的日本伺服器機房要開心（受日本相關法規與日本 ISP 管理）
* 大部分的用戶都在台灣，所以中華電信也要開心（受台灣法規監督）

At the end of the day Google is becoming so dominant on the web that they practically *are* the web, so you either use Google products or you avoid touching a computer. I can't quit Google entirely (Chrome DevTools, GMaps, YouTube are the big ones for me).

It's seriously disappointing that it's impossible to read the #FreeBSD Foundation's website without getting tracked by Google, CloudFlare, MaxCDN, and KnightLab. It also presents Google CAPTCHAs as denial of service.

From the #FreeBSDFoundation I'd really expect more respect with regards to website visitor's privacy. All that tracking isn't even remotely mentioned in their privacy policy.

Dear FreeBSD Foundation: Please step up your game in supporting privacy!
