Honestly, I really like iOS 26. They fixed a lot of the bad interactions. Things like confirmation dialogs now happen where you tap. No dumb back buttons with a title that is always compressed. No โ€œDoneโ€ button everywhere. Faster app open animations. Less wasted space on toolbars.

MacPaint makes an appearence in the 2025 Hermes Apple watch face. Also it includes a mini clock? Anyone have a Hermes Apple Watch with the RC on it? "A MacPaint bucket fills in gallery window panels with orange. The horse and the lad peek out from a panel and the bucket fills it

Interestingly, the iTunes Store app on iOS 26 seems to be using UIDesignRequiresCompatibility to stick with the old design. Given the opt-out is going to be removed in the future, I wonder if this might them sunsetting the iTunes Store soonโ€ฆ

On iOS 26 Beta 3, I have a UITabBar on a view with systemBackground as its background color. In Dark Mode, the text for the non-selected items appears black, and is impossible to read.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong? It works fine in SwiftUI, and none of the system apps have the same behavior.

Seems like they updated the alternative date widget in iOS 26 beta 2 to show the date in Hebrew instead of English
Nobody seems to be talking about how macOS Tahoe seems to have replaced Launchpad with spotlight and I just think it looks pretty neat

Maybe, maybe not.

But give it a minute.

Early betas often include overly ambitious, deeply flawed design concepts, and the most egregious problems usually get fixed before release.

Make that call for yourself this winter, not now.
