The Manitoba Eco-Network would like to thank the Riverview Community Centre for inviting us to table at their Green Fair last week, as part of their Earth Day celebrations.

This was a great opportunity to speak with community members, learn about local climate actions, and practice sustainability through their clothing swap.

🌸Come what “May” - we’ll be out on the patio for Eco-Drinks!

🌸The next Eco-Drinks will be on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026. This time, we’ll be enjoying the spring weather (rain or shine!)

🌸We host these on the first Wednesday of each month, from 5PM - 7PM at Devil May Care Brewing Company (155-A Fort St., Winnipeg).

The Manitoba Eco-Network would like to thank Climate Change Connection for inviting us to table at FortWhyte Alive’s Earth Day event, as a part of their Youth Climate Video Challenge awards ceremony.

This was a great opportunity to speak with environmentally-conscious youth, connect with their families, and help educate Manitobans of all ages on what we can be doing to protect the environment all year-round.

🌱This was made possible by funding from the Government of Manitoba for the CSGC project, and MbEN staff (along with our volunteer team) had a great experience - it was an excellent way to kick off the start of the growing season.

🌱The Manitoba Eco-Network was proud to help out with West Broadway Community Organization’s Seed Starting Workshop as part of our ongoing Climate Safe, Green City project.

🌱Participants learned from Master Gardener, Igor Kaftan, how to successfully grow plants from seed for transplanting to outdoor gardens. Afterwards, the group worked together to plant seedlings that will be grown at WBCO's office for donation and for use in the community gardens this summer!
