MbEN will also look to the MMIWG Calls for Justice 2.1 and 15.1-8, ensuring that our practices recognize and protect the rights of Indigenous Peoples. We will continue our work in building respectful relationships with Indigenous communities, and utilize our Network to speak out against violence against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people.

As an Accord Partner, MbEN has set goals to keep ourselves accountable. We look to TRC Calls to Action #57 and #92, and will provide education to our staff and board members which sheds light on the history of Indigenous Peoples, including the history and legacy of residential schools, UNDRIP, Treaties and Aboriginal rights, Indigenous law, and Indigenous–Crown relations, including skills based training in inter-cultural competency, conflict resolution, human rights, and anti-racism.

MbEN would like to recognize the charitable contributions of the YIP committees from Seven Oaks Met School and Maples Collegiate, both part of the Seven Oaks School Division. The YIP program is funded by the Winnipeg Foundation.

During Spring 2026, they donated $2500 to the Eco-Network. We want to thank them for their donation, and acknowledge their efforts in supporting local environmental organizations.

💧The next Eco-Drinks will be on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026. Tillwell will be joining us to co-host this event, where we’ll have the opportunity to hear about their aqua cremation service, and their sustainable business model.
