💧Our upcoming Eco-Drinks will be on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. We host these on the first Wednesday of each month, from 5PM - 7PM at Devil May Care Brewing Company (155-A Fort St., Winnipeg).

🌊THIS WEEK: Join the Manitoba Eco-Network and Natalija Vojno from Our Living Waters for a conversation about water - she’ll be at Eco-Drinks from 5 - 5:30pm. Afterwards, we welcome all participants to discuss the protection of our rivers, lakes, and water-based ecosystems in Manitoba.

MANITOBA GETS A NEARLY FAILING GRADE:
This Tuesday, the Government of Manitoba released their yearly budget. However, we noticed there was a lot missing. A complete lack of meaningful funding for climate action!

💧The Manitoba Eco-Network would like to thank FortWhyte Alive for having us at their World Water Day event last weekend!

💧This was a great opportunity for Manitobans of all ages to learn about water conservation and participate in special educational activities. This featured guest speakers, storytelling, interactive challenges, film screenings, and a guided watershed hike.

💧The Manitoba Eco-Network is proud to participate in events like this: we look forward to seeing you at the next one!

🌐To foster better engagement within our network with respect to the Manitoba Budget we conducted a survey of our membership with respect to budget engagement and priorities.

🌐The survey and the subsequent report was completed by Simran Kaur, a University of Manitoba student, as part of the Labour Studies Field Placement program.

🎉The Manitoba Eco-Network would like to thank everyone for coming out last week to Eco-Drinks at the Devil May Care Brewing Company. We took this opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of Lindsay Robinson as he steps down from the Manitoba Eco-Network board. We wish him all the best!

🎉Make sure to come out to the next Eco-Drinks on April 1st from 5-7 PM at Devil May Care taproom, 155A Fort St., Winnipeg.

🗳️This past month, we’ve seen a local example of cross-organizational coalitions making change within Manitoba: the City of Winnipeg Executive Policy Committee’s proposed Safe Access to Vulnerable Infrastructure By-Law was received solely as information, and did not go to a vote at the full council meeting.
