A note of remembrance for Krishna Shenoy, one of the great neuroscientists of our time.

It’s remarkable that despite being at the top of his field and last author on so many seminal brain-machine interface papers over the decades, all you’ll hear today are stories of his kindness, generosity, genuine excitement, and unfailing encouragement in times of trouble.

Krishna, one of the best parts of NLK was getting to show you the stuff we got working. We will miss you so much ❤️

Hodak, a cofounder of Neuralink, left the company last year to start Science Corp.

arguably LLMs are already way more reliable than most humans!

the people who keep posting dunks on LLMs for being tricked into saying nonsense are using an unfair benchmark. based on social media and my inbox, clearly some nontrivial percent of humans are perfectly eager to spout nonsense even without any prompting.

the relevant benchmark is some extended version of lizardman's constant, not zero
