A spectre is haunting Europe - the spectre of Germany

Too many interests, too little time. Just to name a few: politics, games (PC & board), tech, 3d printing, woodworking, Fantasy, SciFi and many more.
Does #TrekTriviaTuesday for all the Star Trek Nerds out there.

If you need a disclaimer, that these are my own opinions: get a life!

AR-558 was the only answer that was not the designation of a weapon but a planet. The EM-33 was a Plasma Pistol issued to Starfleet personnel in the 22nd century and the CRM 114 was a directed energy weapon manufactured by the Breen. But the TR-116 was a hand-held projectile weapon developed by Starfleet Security as a contingency for use in dampening fields or radiogenic environments and the weapon of choice for Science Officer Chu'lak, who used it to murder fellow Starfleet officers on DS9.

Even though the main trope in #StarTrek is peaceful coexistence, there is still sometimes a need for weapons. And for today's #TrekTriviaTuesday question we will look at a very special one.

As always no googling and no spoiling the answer for others. Please boost after voting!

Vote will run for 24h, then I will reply with the correct answer.

Hey - #Mastodon is now roughly 2× App.net-years old! 🎉
The Sheliak are a species which prefers the room temperature to be the same as their body temperature, as Data explains during his attempt at small talk.

All the different species in the #StarTrek universe have different requirements for (bodily) comfort. An aspect only sometimes mentioned in the different series and movies. But we will look at this aspect for today's #TrekTriviaTuesday question.
