@chopaganda yeah, just feels like they said, let’s throw all the 11Eleven artists we can on a lineup. But in reality, how many artists can you really have on a small 3 day fest and still be comfortable. It’s very interesting. I won’t have the same fomo/regret as missing Euro, but still considering.
@chopaganda Im thinking of taking the wife. My love for War on Drugs is endless, I really like Dogs, idea of Sierra sitting in on mandolin with Orebolo sounds delightful. I have my issues of course. They included the entire 11Eleven roster but I wouldn’t have minded a smaller more self-contained fest. No walkability kinda bummer. But enjoy picking your own price point approach, makes it relatively approachable, all things considered. It is an interesting proposition for me.
@chopaganda@mattotaylor@LostReflector@chris@aburtch@Phreba@clifff with the huge caveat that we don’t know the actual legal structure of the band or the nature of the representations made. Most misrepresentations that are litigated are future contracts/values/earnings. For example, per se that Goose was in negotiations to sign a multi million dollar contract and they never told Ben’s attorney. Or they were going to sell rights to a song for big money without disclosure.
@chopaganda@LostReflector@chris@aburtch@Phreba@clifff The right to sue was generally lost once a settlement agreement was reached regarding the buyout and dissociation of an ownership share member of the band (presuming the rumor that the band is formed in an LLC with shares/etc). Only a misrepresentation so severe that it leads to damages/injury of Ben would allow litigation to survive past pleadings. I don’t think this meets that level if it’s only the audition lie.
@Backeasyjim@chopaganda I think we saw that with Cams post, applauding Ben while throwing his hat in the ring. And I would even argue Adrian is possible from the Ben’s friends list, but I dietch is a never ever with Zwang, after Scotty’s post.
