@Hawk1291 I think it depends on what you're watching. We've watched plenty of things lately where 10 episodes has been perfect, and it's kept the story tight with much less filler. There's often a lot of bloat in 24-episode series - eg. most Agents of SHIELD series could have been at least 8 episodes shorter, at least in my opinion.
@OpenComputeDesign I was that age in the early 80s, so computer games weren't that widespread (or that sophisticated either!).
Spent an hour yesterday afternoon talking Minecraft with my wife's 7yo god-son. He has only played the demo, but knows more about the game than I do.
He and his friends play it in the playground, apparently, in real life.
@atlas_core I decided the same last year. I have a recent-ish Samsung tablet that gets stuck in a boot loop whenever the battery gets below about 70%. They know about the issue, but refuse to publish or advise any fixes - they stopped supporting that model about 10 minutes after it ended manufacture. Very annoying!
Closing doors and opening new ones

Matt, on the hill
After the first night, I can say that "dim" isn't quite dim enough. It's still less jarring than the red, bloody Eye beaming across the room though.

Spent a couple of hours this afternoon building a digital clock kit which is immediately better than my previous digital clock because it dims the LEDs when it detects that the room is dark. Win!

(The previous clock got nicknamed the Eye of Sauron due to its unnerving red glow. Had to keep a piece of card over the display to make it tolerable.)

What's your primary OS?

Boosts appreciated for sample size :)

@wizetux Good luck! I started socketing the microcontrollers on my builds after too many mishaps, including breaking those USB ports. I found de-soldering waaay too tricky!
