...is just this guy. I do academic work on digital presentation of #MaterialTexts, John Lydgate's poems, #MedievalDrama, issues surrounding #data, and the shifting sands of late-medieval lay religion. Currently a Lecturer at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan and Co-Convenor of the graduate program in Digital Arts and Humanities. Formerly the ZKS-Lendrum Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Durham's Institute for Medieval and Early Modern Studies for the year 2022-2023.

This is part of the reason why I get antsy about big data approaches without some sort of close reading/return to the text involved. If all you look at are the results you miss all of these intervening steps (and this is an admittedly janky, gum-and-baling-wire approach, like how I feel a lot of my computational stuff is. I'm not good at polish). This is an awful lot of places for hidden editorial intervention in the results. But because it's "data," we tend to ignore this fact.
When I was an undergraduate I ran an RPG where the players investigated a possessed town. The center of the disturbance was the local Wal-Mart. I obviously picked the wrong state to set the adventure in.
Today I'm missing my DIY teleprompter setup. I have juryrigged something but I don't like it as much.
Speaking of this, I was just saying that I missed where Musk obliquely accused the UN of pedophilia via tweet rather than pony up the money promised when David Beasley delivered on his request for a plan.

I don't know if this is pre- or post-Musk takeover, but if it's post- this sort of thing just underscores why I was right to leave.

Also, it's a sweatshirt. They cost more than t-shirts do.
