I think it has not happened due to the now visible cost of transporting people for societal good versus hiding it in the need to own and operate cars (which makes RDP go up)

@ajft @augustusbrown The best I can see from my Canberra locality is to walk out, determinedly, angrily, glaring into the face of the drivers, making them _see_ you and (involuntarily) brake and slow down.

I admit this is all faith-based on the car-dwellers being non-sociopathic.
