Bing’s new chat-based search results are also interactive

So basically it turns search results into a single featured snippet from the top few sources. However, you will be able to toggle to “traditional” results, but it looks like the chatbot interface will be the default.

In the new Bing, you start from a text entry box allowing up to 1000 characters, including specific instructions and qualifications. Bing then will deliver a written summary of information it gleans from the web, with a list of citations (source sites) at the bottom.

THIS will be the the actual AI chatbot search disruptor. Google will solve for the chief flaw keeping ChatGPT from being useful as a search replacement. Google’s chatbot will be tied to an actual database of sources and facts.

@badams I know the last thing you need is unsolicited, non-professional advice, but of course here I go anyway ;-)

A few years back I had high bad cholesterol. Among a few other smaller changes, I started eating steel cut oatmeal every morning. In 6 months my cholesterol was in normal range.

I’m sure your situation is more dire than mine, so I’m glad you’re following professional advice. But non-instant oatmeal may be something you want in the mix.
