Everyone in my household is sick, excluding the dog, and including my 3-mo. Probably RSV.
So a lot of Word Party has been playing here for the toddler. At this point, all I have the energy to ask the universe is:
***What the heck is an applesauce sky???***
I even googled it, only to find more frustrated parents wondering the same. I think we should start a support group.

After seeing the letter Elon sent to his remaining employees, I’m even more convinced to not use the birdsite anymore.
But I’m keeping my account there because I saw somewhere that 30 days after deleting your account, anyone can take your handle and try to impersonate you.

A quick note of something that may be important for people to know: I already noted that DMs here are a bit sketchy security wise, but (THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT): if you mention someone else's account in a DM, Mastodon, yoinks them into the conversation.

So, you know, if you think you're talking about someone behind their back, you might be doing it to their face.

p.s. By the way, a lot of the servers on https://joinmastodon.org/servers say "get on waitlist" but this phrasing is misleading.

A lot of these servers don't have a waitlist at all and will accept you pretty quickly, within a few hours in some cases. It's just the server admin is screening out spammers by switching on the "why do you want to join?" form, because spambots find this form harder to cope with.
