It has been a month since our paper on the bibliometric landscape of air
pollution research has been accepted and published in IOP Publishing Environmental Research: Health. If you haven't read it, just take a few minutes to look at the figures.
Where does your research is located in the air pollution research landscape? Is your work part of emerging research topics?
In the study, we retrieved more 100 000 papers from PubMed, and analyzed them using text analysis and topic modelling of article MeSH terms, titles or abstracts to examine how research on the health effects of air pollution has evolved over time. We map historical and emerging research themes, illustrate regional topic preferences, and identify areas where important knowledge gaps remain.
The paper's code and data are available online (links in the paper).
