Flash a custom ROM for your device, don't put anything Google on it, look for alternatives.
Search for #degoogle or the like.
Read up on ROMs like CalyxOs, DivestOS, GrapheneOS, /e/OS (Murena), and others.
Get a new device with one of the above preinstalled. Like 'Above Phone', etc.
Lots of ways to unGoogle.
Getting rid of Facebook, Twitter, et al? Might as well listen to appropriate tunes while doing so.

Been running AsteroidOS on my ZenWatch 2 sparrow for what seems like ages.
It was a refurb but like new. The watch and OS have been running like champs.

Wow. Say it ain't so. Never expected that.
Over the years I've used a lot of launchers but at times I wind up coming back to Nova. Have used Sesame a time or two also.
We'll see how this turns out.

Ah yes, budget is more accurate. So far it seems a bit "laggy" compared to my other phones, no matter how old.
Charging time seems fairly quick but I'll have to time it next time I do a full charge. It doesn't come with a charger so I've been using the one from an Axon 7. Doesn't work with the OnePlus 8 charger.
Camera I can't say. Never had an interest in snapping pics so phone cameras have never been a concern or issue. Currently OpenCamera is installed.

Batteries need replacing but phone manufacturers make phone that can't be easily opened, if at all. They want you to buy new phones.
I miss my LG G3 where I had a stack of batteries.
I don't need flagship features and though I own a OnePlus 8T my daily driver is a lowly Moto G5 Plus. I recently got a Teracube 2e that ticks most of the boxes (removable battery, headphone jack, microSD slot, FM radio) and midrange.
Googobs of money for features I don't need makes no sense.

All good now with a clean install to internal followed by an update. Nothing broke this time. :-}
My history of OS updates on the various PinePhones. Latest and worst example. I don't even know why I bother.
Make sure volume is up. Sounds like hair clippers. Is the OS hosed or can I save it?
