I’ve been seeing a lot of AI talks and articles lately - I have no idea what’s going on but it has got me wondering about Performance and accessibility and I only have more questions.

“People deserved a better web. Will AI be the one who gets it?”

Whenever I see someone give a talk about CSS I always get reminded how awesome it is! It’s always getting better and solving problems in simple ways! So underrated for what it does!! (Great talk by @5t3ph about Modern CSS at @webdirections )
Caught a great talk by @ghuntley.com at Code Leaders @webdirections
He talked about the future belongs to people who can understand and work with AI. If you're not picking up these tools, you're gonna get left behind.
In Melbourne for @webdirections Code and Code Leaders! 👋✨
Heading to Web Directions Code and Leaders! Excited to do some learning! ✨
The disrespect for HTML feels …childish? If you can’t build your websites using HTML properly how can you call yourself a professional? It’s embarrassing. Folks going on about AI hallucinating and outputting shit code meanwhile they can’t even wrap a piece of text in a paragraph tag.
Figma Sites specifically stating that they don’t support button is crazy. Not supporting one of most basic forms of interactivity on the web?!? Yikes.

Do Not Publish Your Designs on the Web with Figma Sites…

…Unless you want to fail all the WCAGs, create litigation risk, close off opportunities in Europe, engage in reputational harm, and oh yeah, throw up barriers to your customers and users. What am I talking about? Figma announced Figma Sites, letting you publish your Figma designs directly to the web.…
