@hbuchel spot on analysis. I feel seen.

Here is my (slightly less unhinged than I expected) musings on the current state of designing for the web.

Generally, I think we lost something when we stopped calling people web designers and forced people to pick a side.

It's 2023, here is why your web design sucks.

Exploring the reasons why we no longer have web designers.

"what data do you have" Me, bitch. I'm the data.
April in Chicago is so frustrating. There's always one or two sunny 75 degree days, but the rest of them flirt around 50, and you just want to ride your bike on the lake and not feel frozen, but we aren't there yet... so we wait

@brad_frost such a good discussion and an open-minded view of AI.

Also, my first time hearing about the evolution of Atomic Design and it really makes me feel like an old head because I remember those challenges in the industry. We had to think differently on how to build websites... and it keeps evolving, so basically, I loved it!

I had a fantastic conversation with Behrad Mirafshar about design systems, AI's impact on the field of digital design, and more. Feel free to give it a listen or read the transcript.

The Quest for Meaning in an AI-driven World with Brad Frost - Lean Cast

I had the great opportunity to chat with Behrad Mirafshar on the Lean Cast podcast. We covered a lot of ground about design systems and AI's impact on the field of digital design. I really welcomed the opportunity to dig into these things that feel really relevant and important. Feel free to give it

@dariaphoebe aaaand funny... that school was Rochester Institute of Technology, and I chose that over the local scholarship I was offered!

@dariaphoebe tough because most of my "bad decisions" led to something positive.

- I shouldn't have taken the contractor dev job when I moved back to Chicago that paid more money than the full time, less lucrative one. But in my boredom, I legitimized and scaled my skin care business.
- I should have taken that scholarship to a different school for the HCI program, instead I went for a BFA and all the loan debt that came with it, but I wouldn't have met my now husband.
