@breitensteinart if you haven’t read Thomas Mann’s novel Buddenbrooks it is an excellent multigenerational snapshot of a German merchant family. Fiction of course but Mann is such an important writer anyway - I’d start there if you haven’t had a look at it yet.

@danhon I sorta get it now. I’m old enough that I had to know how to change directories at the command prompt in order to play my games so its hard not to take literally.
