This pseudo moralism around Mastodon is probably the most insufferable obstacle to the fedi making real progress.

Yes, it’s not corporate controlled, but if many devs operate in the same manner as corporations in the context of unilateral decision making and refusing to address the needs of the people who use their platforms, that distinction is irrelevant.

Centralized or decentralized doesn’t matter when open source devs are just copying what corporations do.
