M17 is a community of open source developers and radio enthusiasts. We're building understandable systems in support of the hackers and experimenters' history of ham radio.

LinHT – its internal structure and a quick explanation on how it all works – M17 Project

Calling M17 "immature" shows ignorance - we have existing infrastructure (small, but proven to work fine).

After months of waiting, we have finally received a reply from Ailunce/Retevis:

"Sorry for my late reply, and sorry to tell you that, we wont do M17 radio in 2026, because the the company's development resources have been allocated to other, more mature products. However, I will continue to monitor the latest developments of Project M17."

Translated to more understandable terms:
"DMR keeps printing money, M17 doesn't fit our spreadsheet."
