It's fascinating how some (British) government agencies have interpreted Government Digital Service guidance in a way which makes services much more frustrating to use.

For instance, HMRC: if you end up on the 'old' part of the website, you can update your name like so:
Step 1: find the "update your name" link and click it.
Step 2: type in your name, and click next
Step 3: confirm that the details you entered are correct, check the box, and click next
Step 4: receive confirmation
