@bocvip 😐
@pandantic okay I did more research into this and ballot-proof is just a program that supposedly identifies potentially incorrectly filled ballots (missing selections, multiple selection, wrong pen colors, etc.) to support election integrity. It's not an exploit or some sort of malware. Also, it doesn't seem to have been used after the hackathon from what I can tell.
@pandantic creating a program like this in a hackathon is a GOOD thing for voting integrity. Almost of modern digital security is built on white hat hackers relentlessly trying to exploit, break, or expose digital systems so that they can be improved. This is why tech companies offer bounties to people who can successfully infiltrate their systems.
@nando161 but I ALSO know people who are exactly the character in this meme 😂
@nando161 they dont often vote for policies that would require higher taxes, or strengthen government assistance, but a few studies show that conservative households tend to donate (~30%) more than liberal households (idk about Christian vs non-christian). I also don't know specifics about what kinds of charities they're donating to, but from personal convos with people who lean conservative, It's usually local shelters/kitchens or international charities. Not always what dems target w taxes
@domo I might add, you don't gotta be a leftist to do these things. I'm pretty conservative and I've been doing all this and more for a long time!
@headstock well for abortion, this would depend on whether or not you think an unborn baby has the same moral value as a born baby. If you accept that they have equal moral value, then in order to believe abortion to be permissible, you must also believe murder at any age to be permissible. I don't think anyone in favor of small government would be against the current "ban" on murder.
@dansup I'm saying we should ditch doomscrolling altogether haha. I totally agree we should ditch reels!
@dansup unfortunately, I don't know if they're "cooked". They're just taking fewer directions from feds. I'd still recommend getting off of big tech platforms of course. My only criticism is do we really gotta replace reels? 😂
@Sustainable2050 matrix is even better if you want to distance yourself from giant corporate/government entities.
