@KnowledgeOoh That said - anything approaching the scale of the migrant worker death toll cited in the video (thousands) is a travesty. My industrial age example, for the Brooklyn Bridge, the upper death toll estimates are in the 30s. A better example might be the Transcontinental Railroad's death toll (estimated to be 1,000 to 1,500), so for Qatar, we're talking a death toll that exceeds that of the most deadly construction projects ever recorded.
@KnowledgeOoh No doubt re: high quality of reporting. I haven't personally seen a proper piece of investigative journalism native to the YouTube format not from a traditional news outlet.
Re: the abuse of migrant work in the states. You don't have to look far to see similar examples in history, in terms of death toll (in New York, look up the history of the Brooklyn Bridge or other ambitiious industrial-age projects). This is a tactic that Republicans have used in Florida (& I'm sure other states). They place IND // 3rd Party Candidates to siphon votes from Democrats because they know they can't win anything anymore w/o cheating.

But the quote is from a letter from Alcuin to the Emporer Charlemagne urging him to resist such ideas, "Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit." Which translates as "And do not listen to those who keep saying, 'The voice of the people is the voice of God', because the tumult of the crowd is always close to madness."

@ruud @FandaSidak I'm sure you've discovered it at this point, but incase you have not: setting `max_db_connections` in pgbouncer.ini to just under whatever `max_connections` is set on pg will keep the # of connections to the database via pgBouncer under the appropriate maximum
