What Qatar Doesn't Want the World to See | WORLD CUP 2022

YouTube
@lsussan Nice video, but they do that in the states, as best they can. KENSINGTON in Philadelphia. Migrant workers where I live. They have them in closets for picking season basically. Im sure with the world cup, there gonna hide everything make it look like a 1st world country, cause they have huge art buildings the workers won't ever get any credit nor the ones who died building up that place. Good reporting though..

@KnowledgeOoh No doubt re: high quality of reporting. I haven't personally seen a proper piece of investigative journalism native to the YouTube format not from a traditional news outlet.

Re: the abuse of migrant work in the states. You don't have to look far to see similar examples in history, in terms of death toll (in New York, look up the history of the Brooklyn Bridge or other ambitiious industrial-age projects). Thank you for turning me to this modern-age example; I will explore deeper

@KnowledgeOoh That said - anything approaching the scale of the migrant worker death toll cited in the video (thousands) is a travesty. My industrial age example, for the Brooklyn Bridge, the upper death toll estimates are in the 30s. A better example might be the Transcontinental Railroad's death toll (estimated to be 1,000 to 1,500), so for Qatar, we're talking a death toll that exceeds that of the most deadly construction projects ever recorded.
@lsussan Keep up the reporting , thank you for the Knowledge. Your doing your part to make this a better world.
@lsussan definitely sparked my interest, these things need exposed. Thank you
