

Y'know, I've been thinking a lot on why Everquest shit the bed in Korea. Cos like, EQ2 did so poorly in Korea that it ran an entire publisher out of Korea.
Like, I get Lineage was what the people were playing during EQ1's heyday. But was it really just "game control funny"? It could also be that sub prices in Korea are fairly expensive in comparison to US pricing, and NCSoft couldn't get Korean players to jump ship to another 30k won/mo game.
I'ma have to dig into this more later.

It's using a patch from a decade ago. Also game is pay to win in the utmost literal sense. Like, game's not even an hour old and I can already buy gold.
Still probably gonna end up playing it as a side game tho.
Game is at it's core fun, but it has the jank I thought the game moved past years ago.
