@zpercussion Thanks for the comment, Z. It's made by a percussionist named Tatsuya Nakatani. The "hair" is very fine fishing line and doesn't fray or break at all under any normal bowing. He starts using one about 6 minutes into the video below.

@arendleejessurun I have been having this realization and reckoning, as well. I've pivoted my energy into my local arts community and economy. After all they are the people that show up, perform, host, collaborate, etc. The digital realm has become boringly detached for me.
