@james I had a similar feeling earlier this year when I turned 39.
Tweet this to get banned on Bird site
I didn't even know that @elonjet existed until the joinmastodon account on Bird Site got suspended. The Streisand Effect in action!
The true experience of Japanese fanart on the Internet is seeing a post that says only "rkgk" (plus hashtags) but the picture is actually way better than you could possibly hope to achieve in your entire life.
Twitter was special. But it's time to leave

Tweets were always short-lived. Turns out Twitter was too.

@pj_hime not yet but I'll let you know if I ever end up there.

>try to make plans to pick up prescriptions then get dinner with friends
>pharmacy closes earlier than I recalled
>rush to do preparations on my bike that I thought I had way more time to do
>start cycling out to the pharmacy
>realize I don't have the key for my bike lock
>PANIK!!!!
>return home, scramble trying to find keys
>fail to find them, message friends to let them know I'm not gonna make it
>roommate hands me my spare set of keys

I'm a fucking disaster.

@atomicpoet that all being said thanks for reminding me to give Mastodon Gmbh money via Patreon. I'm in for the $10 tier. ☺️

@atomicpoet this is a weird take, given the federated nature of Mastodon. mastodon.online and mastodon.social could go down tomorrow and the fediverse would keep right on tooting.

I'm all for supporting the development of Mastodon, meaning software and apps, but it's a bit misleading to assert that the survival of the "platform" depends on Mastodon Gmbh getting more Patreon dollars.

@victoriadecapua it's even stupider than that. He waived his right to due diligence on the deal, which is already a very bad idea. Usually you'd like to know that what you're purchasing isn't a roaring garbage fire.

But then he tried to say the deal was off because of things he didn't even need to do due diligence to find out. You don't need a home inspector to tell you that a house that was just on fire has fire damage, especially if you watched firefighters enter the unit and put it out.
