Should I tell my 13 year old son about my job? - Lemmy.World
I’m a single mom to a 13 year old teen and we live in a bad area. I work two
jobs to pay the bills. I’m currently a barista and at night I’m a
dancer/stripper at a nightclub. I haven’t really told him about my night job
yet, since I’ve just played it off as being a waitress. I feel like he’s gotten
kind of mature now, but I also am kind of scared he might judge me or it might
affect our relationship.

Sexy but practical nightwear suggestions?

Sexy but practical nightwear suggestions? - Lemmy.World
I was a single mom to a now 12 year old boy for years, and recently I’ve been
going on quite a few dates with a man I met on a dating app. Recently, I let him
stay the night and we were getting a bit intimate, but he politely asked if I
was willing to start wearing more sexy nightwear compared to my usual tattered
oversized tees and cotton panties. I still want something that is appropriate in
case my son knocks on our door in the night or I feel like checking on him,
which happens often because of his ADHD. Any specific suggestions would be
appreciated :)

is co-sleeping really a problem? - Lemmy.World
i’m a 27 year old single mom with a 12 year old (yes i had him at 15) son who
has severe ADHD. his father used to physically abuse me, and i left him a few
years ago. i’ve been single ever since, so me and my son have gotten close over
the years. recently these past few weeks, my son has been knocking on my door at
night because he can’t sleep and i feel bad so i’ll let him sleep with me for
the night. he’ll cuddle with me a bit and we sleep pretty well, however i’ve
read online that co-sleeping isn’t super healthy, and i definitely don’t want to
negatively affect his development in any way. any advice would be appreciated :)

how do i teach my pre-teen son about puberty/bodily changes

how do i teach my pre-teen son about puberty/bodily changes - Lemmy.World
i’m a 27 year old single mom and i have a 12 year old son (yes i had him at 15)
and i feel terrible because i’m kind of behind on all of the talks about
puberty/hormones/healthy masturbation and i definitely think discussing these
things are important for young boys. however, because his father is out of the
picture, i’m not quite sure how to go about teaching him about hygiene/shaving
down there and discussing topics like porn/masturbation. i have had a small talk
with him about whether he would be comfortable talking to me about this things
or a male figure like my dad or brother, and he did say he was more comfortable
with me so any help would be appreciated :)

I used to strip as a single mother AMA

I used to strip as a single mother AMA - Lemmy.World
I’m a 27 year old single mom and I had my son when I was 15, so he’s 12 now.
College was never a path for me so when I was 19, I began stripping to pay the
bills. Worked at the club until he was around 7, and he never knew about my job
(still doesn’t).

How to go about teaching my son about puberty/bodily changes? - Lemmy.World
I’m a 27 year old single mom with a 12 year old son (Yes I had him at 15). Ever
since I left my abusive relationship with his father, he hasn’t had a male
figure around, and I haven’t really had a full on discussion about him about
puberty or hygiene/shaving down there. I think he’d probably be most comfortable
discussing these things with me even as his mom compared to his grandfather or
my brother/his uncle, just because of how much closer we are. I’ve done some
research online about male puberty, hormones, and hygiene for uncircumcised
boys, but how do I approach having this conversation with him without making him
uncomfortable and what else should I talk to him about?
