In Manhattan for 36ish hours. Went to Nike store because the kid’s bday is Friday. Got myself some nice kicks. The kid is getting a gift card. 😁
It’s high school visit day for 8th graders at AAPS. Not quite ready for this whole thing.
On a brighter note, Pinball Pete’s has indeed found a new home. 500 E Liberty. Sweet. Totally sending the kid there when he’s “bored” during the summer breaks.
I honestly don’t know how Justices Kagan, Sotomayor and Brown-Jackson keep it together in these hearings. It must be like living in the Upside Down.
Just sitting here, still in disbelief and white-hot rage that SCOTUS is discussing whether women in Idaho have to literally be DYING before they get a medically necessary abortion, because a fetus apparently has equal rights to the whole grown-ass human upon which its very existence depends. I know how we got here….I am just soooooooo fucking angry that it was allowed to happen.
Man, I very much appreciate having the teen around to help with gardening tasks now. He gets a workout without complaining (!!), and I get more stuff done without breaking my back. Today’s job was moving the raised beds away from a fence so I can walk behind them - something I should’ve thought of two years ago BEFORE I filled them with soil. 🙄
Which basically means I’ve turned into my mom. 🤣
Also, if anyone knows of a gardening addiction support group, it might be time to send them my way. This has definitely become my annual spend-way-more-money-than-you-need-to hobby.
Just ate a huge spinach salad, with fresh spinach from my garden. 😳 Turns out being too lazy to pull up everything in the fall really paid off with the spinach! Too bad I’m about to dig up and move that bed.
