Then I found that it was worth swaping the 2 legs and practicing like this on a left-handed drumset but with the rides on the right (like in my youtube videos).

I do recommend it! 😉

I'm right-handed and first learned on a right-handed drumset.

After sometimes I found that the traditional drumset was too unbalanced toward one side so I moved the toms to around the hihats (see picture). This setup requires an additionnal tom stand which is rarely available in rehearsal studios.
