Nothing major; I just wanted to try a little experiment, and I thought I'd dredge up Sam, my old OC from 2007 that I haven't drawn in ages. If this looks familiar…don't worry about it.
I had to pretty much give up on shading the face; realistically the whole side of her muzzle should be in shadow but I tried that and it looked awful, so here's a more or less reasonable stylistic compromise.

I, uh, I guess I made some music? Somewhat in the style of the N64 Zelda games' ocarina songs, but on the game boy.
If the main motif sounds familiar, that's because it's just the word "cabbage." There's no way on earth I'm the first one to do that.

It ain't pretty but the joints seem solid enough for something that's going to be in a plastic shell.
Speaking of, I did test to make sure the SNES board fits despite the battery's now higher profile. Bit of a tight squeeze but it works.
Will have to clean the SNES cart's connectors before trying it. Will report back after play testing.

In even more depressing news I just saw a blurb at the top of Snopes plugging their new "FactBot AI" feature.
Putting *fact checking* in the hands of a "make up something plausible" machine surely won't have any negative consequencess.
I thought surely this was fake. It has to be an object lesson in not trusting AI, like when the old version of the site ran fake articles to remind people not to blindly trust them. But I clicked through and apparently it's real.
Here's Mewtwo's stats screen as of the end of the run. I was amused to see that I never had to use that PrzCureBerry, after all the times Snorlax (and occasionally Pikachu) paralyzed me during earlier attempts.
