@killyourfm outstanding news. :)
Interesting a bot at Microsoft is forking some open source repos and removing the license and copyright information. For example here is cups (the printing system used by both mac and Linux) https://github.com/microsoft/cups/commit/ad69bcc78bdea3fea3f09fe56674daea821bb407 That's actually very illegal.

@dasgeek I completely agree. When it comes to certain topics the individual should have a right to seek out experts and gurus on any topic and do their best to choose who to believe. As people we can’t make ourselves experts in every topic. (If only we had the time right?) But being allowed to choose who or what to believe is a fundamental freedom that no one should give up. And when people inevitably disagree we should be mature enough to shake hands as equals and continue on.
@dasgeek unfortunately, people on social media and in the news tell us not to trust our own experiences but to trust “experts” or certain specific groups that disseminate information. We do this to ourselves when we decide to give up the belief that we can think and choose for ourselves.
@dasgeek thanks. Got my antenna mast up (33ft mast) as well but not the actual antenna. I’m putting up an 80m dipole so I’ll at least have access to most of the bands. Just takes a while to do these kinds of things with a family and full time employment as I’m sure you can appreciate. :)
@dasgeek I got my license this week. I’m super pumped and I’ve made a handful of local contacts already. :) I’m planning on putting up an 80meter antenna in the next couple of weeks. My progress was delayed a bit because when drilling my holes for the antenna mast I hit a pipe XD
Got my ham license this week. I’m super pumped!
@killyourfm I use ghost and Hugo. Ghost is a bit complex for making tweaks yourself. I self host it. It depends on your coding skills. The documentation is good, but it is definitely a fair bit of work. On the upside once everything is going it has a really nice app for authoring your content, so I guess it depends on how much that is worth to you.
@killyourfm lol. “GASP”. That cracked me up. So many people acting like this is a crazy idea while also perfectly fine with using other proprietary apps or browsers. I’m just happy that this will be there for me if I need to use it for whatever reason. Choice is a great thing.
@ryan Ive been thinking about it myself. Could be fun.
