Sorry to hear that. Take good care of yourself. When my partner and I, both elderly, got it after a vacation trip and recovered after little more than a bad cold, I gave silent thanks to everyone out there who had made the vaccines and made sure we could get them.

@stevesilberman It doesn’t seem Mr. Silberman ever worked in the kind of corporate office Dilbert spoofed. Dilbert was pretty spot-on, the sort of comic you’d stick on you corkboard. It is a pity Adams has become such a lousy human being.

Marion Walter was born in 1928 to a Jewish family in Berlin.

In 1939, she escaped Nazi Germany on a Kindertransport - a rescue operation that evacuated thousands of Jewish children to England before WWII.

Eventually Marion arrived in the US & earned her doctorate in math education from Harvard. She became a professor & founded the Boston Area Mathematics Specialists focused on improving math education for children.

Marion Ilse Walter was born in Berlin and escaped the Nazis on the Kindertransport to England. She emigrated to the United States in 1948 and after earning her doctorate, founded the Mathematics Department at Simmons College. She published over 40 journal articles, several children's books, and the popular book The Art of Problem Posing.

@auschwitzmuseum @histodons @museum I visited Auschwitz & Birkenau in 2019. It was Maximilian Kolbe’s annual memorial ceremony day.

You think you’ve prepared mentally for what you’re about to experience, but when you realise there are no bird sounds, the atmosphere is not of this earth, you see the shoes and the hair offcuts, it hits you how you cannot possibly ever be prepared for the atrocities committed here.

We must never forget.

Dear Journalists: Yes, we know that George Santos is a fraud. The latest lie is much less interesting than these follow-up questions that need your concerted attention:

1) Where, and how, did he get those millions of dollars? Follow the money.

2) Why are Republicans -- especially leaders -- not denouncing him? You have access, so do your damn jobs and ask them, repeatedly, until they respond.
