The more I sit and meditate on my life, the more I realize that most of my suffering has been caused by racism, sexism, and various excuses people had to justify abusing me because they simply don't like me.
🤔 Yet if I treated them the same way, they'd scream to the hilltops about their rights being violated, beat me, jail me or kill me.
And I am expected to be amicable towards people like that, submissive even, under pain of losing what little I am allowed to use.
Civility and respect is far more important than freedom of speech and there's not much you can do to change my mind at this point.
It's not only possible, but necessary for communities to enforce it without restricting meaningful discourse, and it's possible. We do it all the time. It's called context.
Letting people use words to accomplish the same goals as physical violence under the guise of freedom of speech has destroyed this country and is leading us to genocide.
It needs to stop.
The whole internet feels like it is collapsing. There are only a few worthwhile websites anymore, most content is written by AI, and real humans are either hard to find, extremely authoritarian and aggressive, or both.
Deviantart completely collapsed to the point where mods don't even watch it anymore, Tumblr is inundated with porn bots, Reddit is filled with rape apologists and Twitter is a ghost town. Even Mastodon feels empty.
The whole world feels so empty
Chat GPT, DALL-E and other creator-replacement AIs really make me sad.
Not just because of their existence but of the reasons why people support them -- they straight up don't WANT to think. They don't WANT to learn. They don't WANT to create.
They want that type of AI around specifically so they don't have to get educated.
People like that make me sick to my stomach.
We can't afford to enable them or just let that shit slide.
