Hoosier from Indianapolis. Gay. Married with a cute dog. Lots of hobbies.

Not interested in talking about partisan politics, for the most part. If we’re connected on here, we probably already agree.

About two years ago, CSX came out with a Monon heritage unit -- number 1897. This is a model of that ES44 locomotive released by Atlas O. I got this a couple of months ago, but I was finally able to run it earlier today.

My dog Bernie decided he wanted to be in the video.

The Commodore Vanderbilt is here pulling cars modeling the James Whitcomb Riley, which is the passenger train that ran between Chicago and Cincinnati, with a stop here in Indianapolis at Union Station. #Trains #ModelTrains
So, if the Bears come to Indiana and stay within metropolitan Chicago, I think calling them the Chicagoland Bears has a nice ring to it. #HoosierMast

This headline almost sounds like something from The Onion, except it's true.

High school basketball-crazed state moving games with Indiana football in Peach Bowl

Several high school basketball games, including Jeffersonville-New Albany rivalry, moving off Friday to avoid conflict with IU football CFP game.

We just had a visit on our street from the fire dept. I don't know why, and it looks like they've already left; however, I knew about them coming not from their own sirens, but from the big white floofy dog who lives three doors down the street.
Figured it out! The signature on the lower right is Charles W. Minesinger. He was elected President of the bank in 1916, according to an article I found in the Indianapolis Star. #PaperCurrency #Indianapolis #Coins #Numismatics #Indiana

I recently acquired a new 1902 Series $5 National Currency bank note (Fr. 600) from the Continental National Bank of Indianapolis (Ch. 9537), which operated from 1909 to 1931, and was absorbed by Indiana National Bank.

The signature on the lower left is Arthur H. Taylor, so this bank note likely entered circulation around 1912 to 1919. Not sure who's on the lower right.

@hoosiersocial Good morning. Any update on the image issue? Also, as of last night, I tried to upload some media and it failed to post. Thank you!

These are some of my favorite photos I took back in 2025.

The tuna and guacamole is from Puerto Vallarta at a place called Tuna Azul. It's fantastic.

Keeping with the blue theme, we have a Blue jay grabbing a peanut from our feeder.

I bought a brick on Monument Circle for my second great grand uncle who died at the Battle of Missionary Ridge (gunshot to the head). #CivilWar #History

Lastly, I took my husband to Walt Disney World (he's never been), and had a _magical_ time. #Disney
