today has been a day with a lot of little things that could have felt very destabilizing but they weren't

In theory I have the transmasc social club thing on Wednesday!! And also, there's a decent chance I will be laid up with a migraine, given what the barometric pressure is doing!!

I had kind of forgotten what it's like to be medicated for my ADHD (it has been a whiiiiiiile)
so far at least, it mostly looks like:
the tasks I am doing are just tasks, and not tasks with several other secret tasks hidden inside of them (ruminate, interrogate myself over my decisions, assume everyone hates me, panic about how I'm going to prove I am worth a damn given everybody obviously hates me, etc etc etc)
they sure don't joke when they talk about the ways testosterone changes your arousal patterns, huh???
this is weird. fucking WEIRD.
...also I kind of wonder if I was a lot more ace than I realized before, but perhaps confused/ignorant of what some of that meant... 🤔
I keep wanting to be like "I got so much done without any meds, now that I'm treating my executive dysfunction I will RULE THE WORLD"
I'm trying to not build in those kinds of expectations; I know that isn't how it works 😂 medication isn't magic! Sometimes you get better at focusing, and the thing you're focusing on is "gee there sure seems to be an overwhelming amount of human misery in the world."
Still though, I am optimistic :)
I am on medication again for my ADHD.
It's like someone turned down the volume in my brain.
I am feeling very difficult and it is frustrating to me 🙃
I just wish my needs were less complicated, that's all. I wish I could just want a thing, and pursue it, and have it, instead of all the shit I actually do.

It's supposed to be "some people are using new technology to write code in an ineffective and intellectually lazy way"
But somehow it has turned into
"I assume code I don't like must have been written in an ineffective and intellectually lazy way (and therefore I can disrespect its author)"
Feels to me like "vibe coding" has gone the way of "gaslighting."
It's a term that is meant to describe something specific, but has been diluted until it means "code I don't like."
But it's worse in that "vibe coding" is meant to be about the process, so it turns into "I assume I understand the process that led to code I don't like"
Which is just another version of "I know the right way to write code, and people who don't write it like me are doing it wrong."
This is what happens when we lose specificity 🙃
