One thing I love so so much of being here is how there's so many people close to my age that have similar interests and worries and dumb sense of humour.

IRL I feel weird sometimes (it looks inappropriate?) hanging out with younger people (classmates, for example) and most people my age are in a completely different life stages than me: "I'm an adult now so I have to be boring" or "I'm adulting and buying houses and having kids" or "yes ofc I have everything figured out already"

not usually a fan of teen media but #HeartstopperNetflix had me absolutely wrecked every. single. episode.

I keep on coming across that advice. Since I barely had any social media activity in the last two years except messaging family and friends, I'm still finding the courage to post anything at all on here. I'm happy for whatever Mastodon is, but so far I've been content to just explore and interact with interesting posts I come across.
