Happy Thanksgiving from the Beach. Enjoyed a brisk march on Charlestown Beach this morning. This area may be my new, favorite place; Rhode Island is 2 hours closer than driving all the way out to Cape Cod.

Was out for a joyride this afternoon in Ulster County NY. Maps took me on a shortcut; coming around a bend, we were confronted by this behemoth. The Eastern Correctional Facility at Napanoch. It was once known as Institution for Defective Delinquents. I'd been though this area many times on the main road, never realizing it was here. My first impression is that this building, especially the rear with its high wall and guard towers, sends an unequivocal "F%*K YOU" to the observer! Depressing. #Prison #Correctionalfacility #BigHouse
