Took the Divvy and made it back very comparably to what Google predicted if I'd transferred to northbound Red Line at Wilson, so basically a wash I guess.
The apps don't know that it's a beautiful day and I wouldn't mind the ride so I'll probably Divvy from Howard. Hm.
Hard to know when looking at app routing recommendations whether they make the decisions based on the predicted favorability of the transfer or if they have legibility or other restrictions that prevent overshooting your destination.
.@transitapp is recommending the doubling back approach. I'm curious about the parameters that the different apps use. I feel like I've had experiences where something like this feels intuitively fastest but apps don't suggest it.
Caught a Purple Line Express home from #SUMC2023. Is it too galaxy brain to take it all the way to Howard and then Red Line, bus, or Divvy back south? (As opposed to transferring at Wilson to northbound Red Line and not doubling back.)
Brown Line also full of people who don't take off their backpacks 😩
transferred at Fullerton from a mostly-empty southbound Red Line to a packed southbound Brown Line at 8:45am on a Thursday. has it always been like that? I've never had a rush hour Red Line commute
took the Red Line, got a seat #thriving
I guess this is related to crowding so there sometimes is relevant data
