on the flipside, sometimes I take characters from existing works and translate them into non-fandom-affiliated designs. because it's fun, and because over time they'll evolve into their own design and I can still mess with them. this goes for both fan-OCs of mine and canon characters but for the sake of this post, have some MTMTE restarts.
I have a habit of either translating characters into other fandoms, or just making 'sonas. in the case of TFP I went and threw my lampsona through the Transformer filter and out came Astro.

Even though this was me messing with Manga Studio tools for the first time and having no idea what I was doing, I still really like the outcome.
I love Hollow Knight too, though the only really finished piece I have for that is of OCs I made. Roux the Grimm Troupe moth, Juli the centipede, Attica the arachnid (Juli's wife), and an unnamed moth sona for my fiancé.
