fritzoidsaaah. got the desolate dive upgrade, got the dream nail. went back to all the weirdo plants i had found and marked. gave sly his key. opened king's station.
kids are playing now too. both kids have beaten the false knight and gotten the vengeful spirit. one kid is deep into greenpath and only needs to defeat hornet. their reaction times are so much better than mine... both only two tries to defeat false knight.

The item in Greenpath was nothing special, but the reward for the area behind the spiky tunnel is so satisfying and cute!
Because I am not very good at dodging attacks and using spells, I used Glowing Womb and Fragile Heart to fight the Dung Defender. That is a fight I actually enjoyed (although I died countless times before equipping the charm combo mentioned).
Isma's Groove is too annoying for so late in the evening.
Myla attacked me when I went to check on her :(

I thought I would have to defeat a boss in Crystal Peak... but instead I got the Crystal Heart by completing a platforming parcours. Very relieved. That was nice. I also know exactly what I'm going to use it for: there's an item I can't get at with regular dash in Greenpath and a spiky tunnel in Crossroads that I bet I can fly through if I position myself correctly.

After too many attempts over the course of several days I finally got into the groove of the Soul Master's attacks and then he was not too hard to beat (I kept forgetting that I can dash...). So now I guess I'm going into Crystal Peak.
