How did I never notice this before? Near the end of "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), to demonstrate his brilliance after receiving his diploma, the Scarecrow says:

“The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side.”

But... that's not right. It makes no sense at all.

So... I was watching episodes from "The Fugitive" TV series (1963-1967) when I thought I recognized music cues from "The Outer Limits" (1963-1965) supplementing Pete Rugolo's wonderful series score.
